Love And Anger—Living With Emotional Authenticity

How I live with my emotions and what I need to do, moving forward, to remain authentic to my intentions.

Love and Anger are two emotions that are central to how I live my life. On the one hand love is at the core of my emotional responses. It is either the lack of love, the desire for love or the need for love. On the other anger is such a powerful emotion for me, it has dominated my life and caused untold chaos. The desire, or need, for love is easy to confuse with the play of love in my life.

Executive Order on Immigrants—International Reaction

Political Leaders around the world reacted in strong terms to the closing of the United States Borders to certain immigrants.

These are just some of the international reactions to the President’s recent Executive Order closing down access to the US from citizens of specific Muslim countries. It is important that US citizens understand how this extraordinary situation is being greeted by people outside of the US.

How I Connected With The Soul Of The Universe

In my years of seeking I had a feeling that my life was about more than just living in the period from birth to death.

I have been seeking all my life. I have always had this sense of looking for my home, my refuge. It has not been through a sense of lack or need, but through a sense of destiny. I have spent many years on this journey and then a few years ago I found what I was seeking. I love the story of Santiago, in ‘The Alchemist’, who travels to find a treasure he dreams about. On the way he learns to listen to his heart and that his Personal Legend, his heart’s desire, is part of the Soul of the Universe.

Four Ways Of Changing Your View Of Reality That Will Improve Your Life

You see the world through the filter of your perceptions and so when you change your perceptions the world will change around you.

I Intend To Boycott The United States Of America

I propose to implement a gradual withdrawal from American politics and culture. There is more than enough for me to focus on in Europe and around the world.

I was a frequent visitor to the US because of my involvement with The International Association of Lighting Designers, based in Chicago. When George Bush was elected I considered refusing to travel to the US because I objected to his political views and stance.

I’m in Trouble Now and I Don’t Even Know What For!

I remember a defining moment from my childhood. It helped to shape my relationship with my father and mother.

“That’s the end of the announcements, children. I’m sure you’ll all be happy to hear that it’s now time to go home! Quiet now! I said quiet! Before you go could I just ask Graham Phoenix to stay behind till everyone’s gone? Quiet! You can all go now.”

Football is a Man’s Game Where Sexual Abuse of Boys by Men is Common

A new scandal in Britain has highlighted the extent of sexual abuse of boys in the game.

I have never been a fan of football in the UK. It has, for me, been too closely associated with racism and violence. Football (or soccer as it is called in the US) is a man’s game in the world outside the US. It brings men together and creates an atmosphere where they can bond and experience the rituals of battle in a safe atmosphere. It has been accepted as an essential part of British and European male culture.
