The Eagle Soared While The Sparrow Sang

The significance of my encounter with birds in my garden this morning.

I have been up most of last night watching the UK General Election results come in. It was an exciting night that confounded the expectations of most pollsters and pundits. Theresa May, the Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party, did not receive the mandate for ‘strong and stable’ government that she expected, leaving her with the largest party but not with a majority. Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the opposition Labour Party dramatically increased the labour seats in the House of Commons and the Labour share of the vote, despite the predictions of the Labour Party disappearing for decades.

Obesity in Men: What Is The Truth

Britain’s fattest man, Carl Thompson, was 33 years old and weighed 65 stone when he died in 2015. For those not from Britain, that is 410 kilos or 910 pounds. He was housebound, bed-ridden and alone. This was a man whose life had moved out of balance, and who ended up in a miserable, early death. This is an example of the issue of obesity in men.

In England, one quarter of the population is now clinically obese. Current trends suggest the problem is only going to get worse. Diabetes, heart disease, strokes and other nasty diseases go with obesity. Obesity is a death sentence.

Being Young and Free—Causing Chaos

It is something I yearn for because I know I can never go back there. In truth I yearn for it with the knowledge and experience I have today.

Being young and free. I never want to go back there in innocence and expectation. I never want to repeat the angst and the pain… I would rather stay happy in my sixties.

What Is The Point Of Creativity In Writing?

On the whole there are only three reasons for writing online: making money, creating a brand, a love of writing/creativity.

I have put my life into this site. I fill my mind with creative ideas and put them online. Why do I do it? What do I get out of it? What is the point of creativity in writing?

Get Up, Stand Up, Don’t Give Up The Fight!

Bob Marley, famously, told people to stand up for their rights. To do that he told them to 'Get Up, Stand Up, Don't Give Up The Fight!’. You can take this message into your business and create success.

I was going to call this piece ‘Don’t Give Up The Day Job’. I wanted to warn aspiring entrepreneurs against jumping in to their new business too quickly. It seems so easy to jump online, put up a website and talk to the world about what you love. It might be football, travel, sex or anything else your mind can conjure up. Well, it is easy! You can make a decision, get online and be up and running in a day.

WhatsApp in the Ukraine–When Masculine Paradigms Collide

What will you stand up for, what are you willing to die for? How is this question being played out around the globe.

Like many in Europe, I am cheering on the people who are changing the face of their country through their own personal power. I am cheering for the individual who has made an enormous fortune through the success of his entrepreneurship. Finally I am cheering on the end of the old guard who thought that, today, they could still rule by force and domination.

Mindset for Success – Do You Have The Right Attitude?

Mindset is critical to success, you are told, without it you can never make your business work. I have found this to be true, but what is a mindset for success, and how do you make it work for yourself?

My first real experience of a mindset for success was from Tony Robbins. He teaches a simple approach to mindset called ‘The Triad’. ‘The Triad’ is the combination of three elements; focus, language and physiology. Tony teaches that any state you are in, whether happy or sad, excited or depressed, or any other, is caused by the triad you are in. Your state is created by your physiology, focus and language.

Authentic Manhood – Know Yourself As A Man

The better you know yourself the more likely you are to do what matters. Study your strengths, know your weaknesses, identify your values, define your success, learn the things that excite and those that terrify you.

It is easy to focus on our weaknesses, or what we perceive as our weaknesses. Do we do enough to focus on our strengths, what we are good at? Do you really know who you are or do you have a picture in your mind of who you think you should be?

Authentic Manhood – Have Your Own Standards

How often have you sought the approval of others rather than of yourself? How often have you tried to fit into other people's rules, and found failure? It is time to dance to your own music and succeed.

Everyone has different definitions of success and masculinity. Do not compare yourself to others. You’ll either feel over confident or very disappointed. You are your own set of standards. Sometimes all you need to succeed is the determination to show others what you are capable of. All you need is to have confidence in yourself to fulfil your vision and be happy.

My Experience Of Male Sexuality – How I Came To Enjoy Sex

Sex is something we all want, but do we enjoy it? Sex is something we all have, but does it make us feel better? My experience of sex left a lot to be desired. I did not understand my Male Sexuality.

Most of us do not want to talk about sex because we do not want to face the truth. We believe that those that do talk about sex are not telling the truth. At least we hope they are not telling the truth.
