Day 28 — Do You Live Your Life At Full Potential?

For me life is about living, living to my full potential. The human brain has infinite potential and while popular myth says that we use no more than 10% of our brain capacity, the truth is that we don't yet know the limits.

Inspiration and Passion

In reality what we can take it to mean is that in terms of our knowledge and experience we live life to the fullest extent we know how. That means that we don't hold back, that we fully project out into the world our emotions, our inspiration and our passion. We show the world who and what we are.

What would it take to live at your full potential? Have you ever tried to live this way?

We are all functioning at a small fraction of our capacity to live life fully in its total meaning of loving, caring, creating, and adventuring. Consequently, the actualizing of our potential can become the most exciting adventure of our lifetime.

My Ebb and Flow

Despite what I think about living, I don't always live to my full potential, at least not in my view.

I find there are times when I need some downtime, when, as a man, I need to go into my 'nothing box'. I love the idea of living to my full potential but I find that the psychological and emotional stress can build to a point where I can't deal with it any more.

That's ok with me. My potential varies a lot and I am able to recognise its ebb and flow. Recognising this I can ebb and flow with it and maintain a high level of involvement in what is going on around me. I work to increase my ability to live life to the full and, in the end, I am happy with how I step up in the world.

I'm not sure I've ever experienced full potential and, in truth, I have no idea what that would be for me. Maybe I should find out!
