Challenge — Acceptance
Knowing what you believe you need to know, what you are prepared to live and die for is critical for moving forward. It requires the ability to make a stand on what you believe. What's important is that this can be anything.
Time to Accept Change
But for this you need the second stage of our enquiry, acceptance. You have to like who you are and want to be that person, that type of man. It is important that you can support your position and fully understand it. It must be a position that is in line with your life and your passions. Acceptance is critical, it requires you to examine your life and like it.
To get to this position is likely to require you to accept change. It means you will need to find the gap and cross it.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
Self Inquiry
I love the journey of self enquiry. I love digging deep down into my soul and discovering what is there.
A few years ago, at a seminar, I was directed to the famous Marianne Williamson quote, from 'A Return To Love', part of which you can read above.
This helped me to see the light within myself and to understand that what I needed for this life was already inside me. It also helped me to see that releasing my fear and being the best I could was essential to helping others. I vowed then not to hold myself back and to celebrate all that I am.
We now start the process of accepting ourselves, who we are and integrating all the different parts of ourselves. This requires openness and honesty, without that it is impossible to see your own light, without that it is impossible to inspire others.
